I've left a few reviews of accomodation I the area and being honest, neither were good. In fact they were poor. Despite that, there is something endearing about Perisher and we've had a good time and met some great people. If only somebody would spend...More

Enjoyed a weekend of skiing beginning of September. plenty of snow for the kids and the grandparents at Smiggins. The more adventurous ski over the hill to Perisher for a bit more of a challenge. Friendly staff and plenty of room.

I've skied for many years in Europe before moving to Sydney. I knew NSW mountains would be different but I was truly shocked! The weather was a little sketchy the first couple of days with snow deteriorating. Then we had a fantastic 24 hours of...More

A long time supporter of Perisher, I have bought a season pass for the last 5 years and have been skiing at Perisher for a good 8-10 years before that. This year, I unfortunately injured my spine and need surgery so won't be able to...More

My favourite thing about Perisher is it's variety and options available to the individual depending on weather. Even when chairs are down due to high winds you can still access most of the 4 resort areas and some amazing terrain. It is well linked although...More

They do a great job keeping the mountain alive. Our visit coincided with exceptional rainfall and the mountain staff do a great job of recovering the mountain.

We are going to Australia next summer and want to spend some time at Perisher. We could go the last two weeks of July or the last two weeks of August - what would you recommend? Also, I would appreciate any info on how to get there from Sydney without renting a car. I will check out the hotel you mentioned in your review. Thanks!

Timing the snow here is just luck. If you are not driving, then fly to Canberra or Cooma and then hop on a bus. Canberra has great food and a few good tourist attractions. For accomodation in Perisher try the Stables.

Yes there is coach services during June even though it's not peak season. They are just not as frequent . As long as you not needing to go without notice frequently . As they go at set days and times.
