The roads around Nimbin to Kyogle are fabulous for a Sunday drive or motorbike ride, and these stunning outcrops are a rewarding feature along this drive.

This is a little look out ( parking shoulder) on the main road into Nimbin pretty spectacular view of these rocks and a great photo opportunity but you can see them as you drive along if you’re not keen to pull over for a second.

I live in Nimbin so I gaze at these amazing rocks daily. The sun and mists make it divine no matter what the weather & tourists photograph them constantly. They are enormous monoliths that have definitely stood the test of time, and they are studded...More

Located just before Nimbin on the Lismore road. Certainly worth stopping to enjoy the view for a while. We didn't get any closer than the lookout but enjoyed the view anyway.

The Nimbin Rocks are a sacred site to the local Aboriginal Mob and they request people not to visit. The 'Viewing Spot' outside of Nimbin is shocking, dangerous with overhead powerlines taking from the view. No information unless you visit the Nimbin Tourist Office (worth...More

Can almost see these from anywhwere, however the offical viewing spot before town is crap and downright dangerous, there is a good view from the rear carpark in town.

A nice drive by as you can't actually drive close or hike to the rocks. Such a pity as the rocks looks beautiful and a hiking path could really add to the area. Nimbin could do with a few added attractions to make a day...More

The Nimbin Rocks are actually volcanic extrusions of the Mount Warning Tweed Volcano that erupted some 20 million years ago. Nimbin (Aboriginal Nyimbunji) has three rocks - Needle Rock, Nyimbunji and the Old Man. The story behing the rocks is fascinating - I recommend you...More
