We happened to pass through this little country town while driving from Cobar to Sydney, and saw the statue of the Australian cricket legend Glen McGrath on Mitchel Highway. The statue is well done and the park around it is maintained very well.

A small testament to a great cricketer, if you can remember any of them!! Right beside the main road and well worth a Kodak moment.

It's lovely to see the town honour a local hero and favourite son but in the end it's just a statue in a little park opposite a sad pub. It has statistics on the statue you could get off Google so don't make a special...More

A real gem and a " must see". The people around town are very friendly. Small town, but big cotton growing industry

Great to see this legend celebrated in his home town, they could add some if their other sporting greats at other spots around town.

Dont just drive through Narromine. stop and see the statue of Glen McGrath. Many people do stop and have their photo taken and then take advantage of the stop to enjoy lunch at one of the many Pubs or the Bakery.

I leant a lot when we were in Narromine! Until you check things out in a place, you don't realise how much there is to know about an area. We had a bonus in the park near the statue - there was a huge native...More

Visited here a few times on one of our many trips to Narromine. Great park to sit back and gather your thoughts. Narromine is a pretty little town with a lot of hidden surprises.

Being a local I see it every day, however, it is a great reminder of the strength and tenacity of someone to achieve the highest accolades available. To be able to represent your country and then have the local community remember you for that is...More

A nice statue which recognises a local hero. Well positioned coming into Narromine from Dubbo, although was expecting it to be near the sports oval.
