Very interesting collection and well worth a visit. Lots of local significance. Well organized and housed in a lovely old building. Free entry but there is a box to make a donation.

This is a small museum near the centre of town and has some good local historical items. We went to see the exhibition of Matchbox toys (private collection of 400). One hour is sufficient time if you don't wish to read all the pages.

Entrance is free so it is well worth the visit as there isn't a great deal in there however, it was still good to see as they had an exhibition of Tweed on Film which exhibited the wedding dress from Muriel's Wedding, Jack Sparrow's hat...More

I had the privilege of working in the museum sector for a decade. My wife and I spent about 90 minutes perusing the artefacts and stories and enjoyed the experience. I think that the curators and museum volunteers have got the balance just about right...More

There is something for everyone here, beautiful displays showcasing local history, friendly volunteer staff an activities for the kids.Parking was a bit a problem just not many spaces available around school pick up time.
