Free entry. They are a really beautiful spot in the morning when the sun rises, especially in the winter when it's chilly there.

Just about the hottest thermal pool I have been in. Showers are provided and is open 24/7. Kind of on the edge of town but only by minutes you can ride a bike there easily. Bring a drink as there is nothing but the pool and showers there.

Not sure if you could visit this in the middle of the day, but as they are open 24 hours a day that is not an issue. We went at 7am and it was perfect. Two pools, two temperatures, four showers and information boards made for a memorable visit to Lightning Ridge. So very clean too!

The fantastic experience is matched by the obvious pride in maintaining this remote, remarkable pool. Naturally heated. and matching the 42 degree air temperature is a wonderful experience. After sunset is better with great stargazing and satellite watching!

Absolutely enjoyed the bore baths provided free at Lightning Ridge. Perfect for young and old. There are two different sized baths...a large and a small one. Blissfully warm temperature. Delightful relaxing place to visit. The children and I would like to come back again. Highly recommended

Worth experiencing, however extremely hot water temperature. Perhaps hotter than normal due to the 50 degree days.

I visited Lightning Ridge during the summer, so it was about 42 degrees outside anyway. Beware, if you want to visit the Bore Baths during the daytime you could get severely sunburnt but a nice dip during the evening and early mornings are great. The air gets much cooler and the water is really warm/hot. The big centre bath is... More

We visited the baths twice and 1/2 an hour was all we needed. We felt refreshed afterwards. There are change rooms and a more shallower bath. The water is very warm and there are cool showers to cool down.

If you like a hot shower after a day or two of driving then you will love this place! Yes the weather is hot but wait until evening and it is glorious. It even helps to make the air temperature more bearable.

This is a perfect activity just beware of the weather. 38 degrees means it is an evening activity. So plan yr day to stay out of the sun.
