Fantastic spot to see wombats and kangaroos. Peaceful and quiet with my first hearing of the famous kookaburra laugh.

Great free camping spot on the Kangaroo river. Good for swimming & canoeing. Toilets but no showers. Wombats usually visit every night. Lots of ducks. We'll be back 👌

We drove to the Bendeela camping area just to experience the wildlife. It's a pretty simple camping site and a bit too chilly for us at 4 degrees overnight to stay in winter. Truly is the best place to see wild wombats and kangaroos and...More

Plenty of activities locally (30 min drive) and magnificent views, wombats and variety of birdlife on the site, only two downsides crowded and no campfires
