My husband and I visited here today for a lovely peaceful picnic with kangaroos and native birds (willie wag tails and magpies) coming right up to our picnic blanket. Apart from a few people canoeing the place was practically deserted!

Decided to drive down to the dam on a recommendation and did we have a good time ! There were wallabies all over the place and although the fish elevator was not in operation it was still worth the drive.
Walk out on the dam to see the Fish Elevator. A local said they spent a bunch of money on an elevator for fish. The idea is fish swim into an elevator box which then lifts the whole shebang to the top of the dam...but...More
