Thanks to Peter for a great tour today, 4/10/17. What a fascinating place to visit, with so much more to see than expected. Certainly a 'must do' if in the area!

A visit to the observatory is instructional. The viewing area is up several flights of stairs (there is a lift, but after a day in a car the opportunity to stretch the legs is great) and is lined with wonderful photographs and information about the...More

Well priced entry to look at all the displays on offer at the information centre. Short walk up the hill to the viewing of the large telescope. Whole family was impressed. Cafe promoted use of reusable 'keep cups' which was a delight too. The family...More

This Observatory borders the Warrumbungle National Park and is definitely worth a visit. Not only does it provide great views of the NP, the Observatory itself is interesting and educational. We did a self guided tour, taking about an hour to view and read all...More
