I did this walk and seriously hot day....hello burning skin haha! Make sure you take a lot of water and sunscreen with you. Loved the views all the way up and down and we were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming with some surfers in the sea on our way down. Very lovely morning out!

Okay so Byron Bay wasn't named after the poet who ran off with Lord Melbourne's wife but his grandfather who served with Captain Cook. As the most easterly point in Australia the early sailors must have been so relieved to find it and its magnificent sweep of sheltered bay. The trail itself is spectacular. You can start from various points,... More

A beautiful walk to take in the stunning nature wonder of the coast line. Easy walk to Little Wategos and Wategos beaches.

This is a lovely walk that is at the most easterly point of Australia. Taking international guests here was a highlight for them as pods of dolphins appeared regularly

We got great advice from our hostel to start the walk about 1.5 hours before the sun sets and to walk up the "road side" to the lighthouse and then while the sun is setting walk down the stairs/path. The views for the whole walk are amazing. We saw lots of surfing as well and were able to spot some... More
