We first visited Pinetum Gardens last year. It is a real secret gem, much larger than would first appear, and has everything a family might need for a day out. The gardens vary in content and type, there is a good restaurant and a shop.

We really enjoyed these gardens. The Japanese Garden is beautiful, and the arboretum is lovely. Dog was made to feel welcome too, and could sit outside with us at the cafe. Well worth a visit.

Yes its an easy walk and toddler would be no problem but natually you would have to keep a close eye near the water areas. Hope this helps.
