Redruth town has an interesting and quirky history, however needs a little bringing into the 21st century too. There are a lot of empty, run down shops and disappointing to see three intoxicated gentleman walking around with cans of alcohol

Just parked there to visit the Halifax. Managed to park for free outside the post office. I know the area well but I haven't been to Redruth for a long time so it was quite a shock to see so many shops closed. I just...More

I was intrigued by a suggestion that the council should somehow reconfigure Redruth because it's on a hill. Most of Cornwall is hilly. Just about every town (which Redruth is, not a village) has its hilly area, it's simply that with Redruth that's almost all...More

Redruth is an old Cornish mine centre. The actual shopping centre doesnt attract too many. Its on a steep hill and not many shops to attract visitors. Worth an hour or 2 to look at some of the older buildings though.

I took a trip to Redruth again today to notice several new and interesting shops at the top and bottom of the hill. Modern and alternative. Just what we need to inject some life and interest in to the town.

We visited today, the high street is one long steep hill, filled with banks and charity shops. If you are disabled or have walking issues then it's not for you. The council need to take a look at this village and make some changes.

I find it very difficult to say anything positive about Redruth Town Centre sadly! That's not quite right. I have to mention the one solitary cafe in Redruth who allowed me and my little dog to go inside...so thank you to Bystro. Your coffee tasted...More

Visited there after getting a leaflet showing different places of interest. We walked from one place to another following the map and were very disappointed with what we saw. Parking was expensive and the town was dirty.
