Words can barely describe how depressing this place is. Not even the odd quirky statue or merchandise from one of the few shops still open placed in a long disused premises can disguise the fact that much of Redruth Town Centre is derelict. It’s all...More
In it's past it must have been a great place to visit, but now tired and run down, there are some nice cafes there. But also a lot of drunks or addict's hang around and shouting at people from a statue of a tin minor.
Redruth town has an interesting and quirky history, however needs a little bringing into the 21st century too. There are a lot of empty, run down shops and disappointing to see three intoxicated gentleman walking around with cans of alcohol

Redruth is an old Cornish mine centre. The actual shopping centre doesnt attract too many. Its on a steep hill and not many shops to attract visitors. Worth an hour or 2 to look at some of the older buildings though.
I took a trip to Redruth again today to notice several new and interesting shops at the top and bottom of the hill. Modern and alternative. Just what we need to inject some life and interest in to the town.
