Free Parking; This has tracks rather than paths that are fairly uneven and a bit hilly. Lovely countryside and great for kids to explore.

We took a pleasant walk around Wheal Peevor and were surprised at how good it was. Around the buildings were information boards explaining the history and the processes of tin mining in the area. We enjoyed exploring the buildings, and the views across the countryside were beautiful. For those who love nature there are many species of plants, insects and... More

Take a picnic and the dog to enjoy exploring this free venue. The kids loved it and proved a welcome break from the beach. No toilets nearby, but free car parking and hide and seek was hilarious.

Perhaps one of the largest complex of renovated mine buildings in Cornwall. There is a small car park nearby an entrance is free. There are three main engine houses and a selection of other mine buildings.

The site, which is free to enter, has sufficient (limited) free parking opposite. Main paths are well rolled and would support a powered mobility scooter. Pushing a wheelchair would be harder as the workings, as usual, follow a valley. Here is a great way to get close to Cornish engine houses and ground level remains of some of the related... More

Well worth a visit for a detailed insight into tin mining in Cornwall over the last 2 centuries. The site has a number of information points and is well preserved.

Having only moved to Cornwall a couple of years ago, I can't get enough of the Cornish mining history. Being able to see it up close, and only walking distance from my house, means it's a popular place for me to walk or cycle around. Even the kids love it too. Only issue is lazy people letting their dogs poo... More
