Visited on Friday 17th Aug., arrived into the car park at 10.30am to be greeted and parked up. A gentle walk to the entrance, stopping to read information signs on the way & take pictures of the wonderful vista. Welcomed by Anne, who explained the...More

This is a fantastic place in a spectacular location overlooking the sea and with plenty of interest, including the operation of one of the original beam engines on a daily basis. We've visited a number of times when in the area. One thing to watch...More

Just back from the Levant Mine and their fabulous tour guides. Engaging, interesting and a fascinating insight to life in a Cornish tin mine. We combined it with the Geevor mine next door and if you’re in the area on holiday, it’s a must see.

This is a National trust site so is currently £8.10 for an adult entry or free for members. The site is situated over a wide area and overlooks the sea from the high cliff edge. There are a few bits to see and some interesting...More

I only popped in for a quick visit, but ended up spending most of the morning there. Firstly, the setting is stunning - right on the cliff edge, with superb views and a great place to sit and chill. Second, the history of the place...More

Levant Mine is owned by the National Trust, so there is a fee to enter, we are members, so got in for free. Most people walking around didn't pay to get in. You pay in the shop as you enter the site, but you can...More

The setting is impressive as you have a great view from the cliffs. Seeing the abandoned buildings is quite surreal and leaves a big impression. We liked seeing the steam engine in action and going down into the shaft. However, a 2 hour tour was...More

It was great to see a beam engine working. The operator was very knowledgeable and answered any questions you had. There is a tour that runs explaining the history of the site, and eventually ends up in a tunnel that you could not access if...More

This site is amazing for so many reasons. The view alone, with the chimneys and engine houses dotted around, would make it worth visiting. To sit for a while, as we did before heading down to the actual mine and buildings, was a treat. Fresh...More

As always National Trust excels with sites like this one. Car park is small and at the top of a moderate climb down to mine. Staff very friendly and welcoming, also very knowledgable about history of site. The guided tour was good but be aware...More

I have not been to Geovor tin mine only Levant! I would say that I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour at Levant, as it was very informative and delivered in a friendly manner. I suggest you read reviews for both attractions... More

If you join a guided tour you will can down the shaft to the “Man Engine Tunnel” where 31 miners lost their lives. It’s also the only place where there’s a beam engine in steam. Well worth a visit.
