Wingz is a fab place to take the kids to get up close to nature, or go by yourself and enjoy an hour or two of r and r in beautiful surroundings. The enclosures are kept in a natural state which means they are perhaps a little less tidy than some people would expect, but the reasoning behind it, and... More

The owners and staff obviously care deeply about the birds and other animals that they have rescued and taken in. Some of the stories are very sad to hear. This is not a charity! The entrance fees (which are reasonable), gift shop and tea rooms keep them going. The enclosures are clean and the occupants are well kept and looked... More

Anita and Grenville were so welcoming and so obviously passionate about their birds and animals. The rescue stories were so moving. We fell in love with the ducks and with a particularly friendly chicken who accompanied us all round the site! It was a site cleverly laid out with the walkways tailor made for the less mobile or agile (like... More

Not a charity and they survive on all monies received from paying guests. The owners are brilliant people who care deeply about the animals which they look after. Very reasonable entry price and a very well kept park. Accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Every animal has a story. Some of which are heartbreaking. Please go and support them. Keep up... Grenville and Anita leave no doubts about their commitment to the animals and bird they have rescued and cared for over the years. They advise you on entering the enclosures are overgrown in an attempt to recreate their natural habitat. They are fed openly whilst visitors attend, 2 dedicated 'volunteers' work tirelessly to clean the enclosures and take time to... More

Grenville and Anita are a wonderful couple who care deeply for the birds and animals that they keep. The site is disabled friendly and it's so nice to see natural materials used rather than concrete. The walkways are thoughtfully laid out so it's a squiggly sort of a circular route, making it easier to follow if you've restricted mobility. Enclosures... More

Small, but most definitely worth a visit - we spent a happy afternoon in the sunshine wondering around. There are boards telling you both about the species and the actual birds themselves. Sadly some of the bird's stories prior to coming to Wingz are not good, but the love and care they have received since can only be described as... More

Such a lovely little place all the birds have their own little story it's really nice to read about how they got there and where they come from. Me and my partner loved it and the staff/owners were amazing you can really see they have the animals welfare at the centre of what they do. Will continue to go back.

Whilst it may be small it is definitely worth a visit. Loved the bio boards telling you about the lives of the birds, most of which are sadly victims of the pet trade. Staff were very friendly. Even got to have a cuddle with a prairie dog on our way out. Lovely on site cafe and very reasonably priced, £4.50... More
