The house is available as holiday rental so we were unable to look round. However, the gardens are amazing and the walk up the hill was very enjoyable with the most fantastic views from the top. The cafe is small but the sandwiches we ate were fine and the staff very friendly. The gardens are varied and when we went... More

We had our dog with us so went round the garden first full of flowers and in the woods bluebells just coming into flower the walk up the hill is easy with views from Michael's Mount to St Ives put the dog in the car well shaded and had a bit in the cafe with lovely coffee and into the... More

The house is let as a rental property and has been hugely modernised for this purpose. Connection with wealthy mining family only lightly referenced. Sorry but this does not work for visitors paying £9 for a handful of modern rooms. Café and toilets. However grounds and walks very pleasant with chargeable parking. Dogs welcome on walks.

Lovely spot for a walk around this most attractive location. There is a house and garden, but check on access. Bring dogs or children.

I have just read the review from a member of the public who reports that he was deliberately overcharged. This I am sure is very far from the truth. The majority of the people who work at Godolphin are volunteers who give up their time to help the National Trust. I myself work in the tea room and also from... More

It has been restored but wasn't that interesting and did give a small insight in to their way of life. The gardens still need some work

This Godolfin House is quite pretty but besides that it is somewhat underwhelming. Some pictures placed on the internet make it look very grand. It is in fact rather small. That aside, the gardens are quite attractive and we enjoyed our walk in them. I am however very unhappy about the fact that I was overcharged on entry. Deliberately in... More

I took a stroll to the top of Godolphin hill and was surprise how far you can see. There is a conviniently place rock on the top to sit on and gaze across the sea. There is so much history, who knew it was all in Cornwall! When I got back I had a wonderful cup of tea and cake... More

We had read the reviews and were very keen to visit Godolphin House and Gardens. We are a family of 5 (plus dog) and did the Godolphin Hill walk. It was pretty easy but not particularly interesting - rather moor-like - and I don't think you get quite high enough to have spectacular views. Maybe it was just too grey... More

We visited last weekend aa a family of four with two dogs. There were a lot of renovation works going on but this didn't spoil our fun! We enjoyed the bat activities and the children thought the bat camera was fascinating. The lady and gentlemen we met on reception were so friendly and helpful - even offered us umbrellas to... More
