Very much a tourist trap, but on a day where the weather is cooperative, it can make for a decent enough nature walk paired with some context of the history & mythology of the area. The legend of King Arthur is the lifeblood of this region's tourist industry & what's presented here are a few curious morsels, perhaps most notably... More

Saw the brochure and all looked professional - arrived to find a scruffy car park. Went in and were met by a most disinterested person who took our entry and then ignored us completely. Some of the information was very interesting but it's all a bit tatty with bits of laminated paper and various items scattered around looking very tired... More

Very interesting and informative site owned and run by friendly, knowledgeable people who are willing to spend time with you to explain exactly what they are doing.

This place plays on the Arthurian legends all the way. There is the rumoured burial stone of King Arthur. It is probably very suitable for children, but for me the most interesting aspect was the information board showing the area's trade links with the Byzantine Empire in the Dark Ages.

We did not intend to visit the Arthurian centre, however seeing the signs we decided to have a look, as you enter the gift shop to pay the £4 per adult it looks okay, as you start to walk round it is informative, however this is all on old laminated bit os paper, some of the pictures in frames had... We visited with children aged 2-10 and all really enjoyed ourselves. Staff were very friendly and provided a puzzle sheet for the short walk down to the river and Arthur's stone. It's a small place so not a posh cafe or large exhibition but it was really nice to go somewhere simple where the children could explore without large crowds... More

The centre is incredibly informative, and even we enjoyed the brass rubbings! The walk down to the stone is enjoyable, and it is lovely and peaceful here. The shop is small, and I would say this visit is more for educational purposes than for fun, although I enjoyed learning more about King Arthur! Visited Thursday 11th August 2016

Located in Slaughterbridge, not far from Tintagel. No crowds. Small display on the King Arthur legend and then an easy 20 minute walk down past a 12th C excavated settlement, then over a lovely stream and then past the supposed battle site and then to a very shaded and clear river where you can go left and then walk next... Small shop, exhibition is ok, lots of posters explaining the history of King Arthur. Small play area onsite leading onto a nice walk through the remains of a settlement into some woodland where there is a bridge going into the battlefield where Arthur apparently died by the hands of mordred then you walk down to the river to see the...
