Visiting our son and wife. This is their local (favourite). We'd decided to try the Sunday roast. In a word.. Brilliant. Great service. Lovely, relaxing, beautifully presented and cooked roast lunch. Come here, you'll be on to a winner. And the beer selection is to...More

About 20 mins walk out of town but for the beer range it is worth it. Very reasonable prices.. Less than £4 for a tasty 6%er on our visit. Very large, but shady garden ....

I had my 50th birthday party here and the staff were amazing. They expertly cooked a hog roast and provided delicious salads in a private area. They had a bouncy castle for the children and gave me 2 lovely bottles of fizz on the house....More

This pub is how I always imagine a real ale pub to be - aged decor, old fashioned seats yet a great atmosphere. The staff were very helpful in explaining their real ales of which there was a large selection. This is a pub where...More

Always at least twelve ales and five ciders on draught plus three or four on keg also. Friendly and helpful young staff and relaxed clientelle of ale drinkers. Big beer garden open in the summer and small kitchen serving decent bar food. Highly recommended.

Great food, beer and cider. Frequent live music. Not swarming with kids although they're welcome as are dogs. Loyalty card system is genius.

As an advocate of the Sussex arms over the past few years it is a shame that the quality of the service has declined, at the end of the evening the stink of bleach was over whelming at 2300hrs. Less beer on the pumps and...More

The Sussex is a very good place for real ciders, and has a good atmosphere. However it can get ridiculously crowded at busy times. Perhaps some other local landlords should note it's success and copy the model.

Good select of ales and some very nice pies plus only a 15 minute walk from Twickenham Rugby ground. Handy for parking, a spot of lunch and a stroll to the game.
