The Sussex is a very good place for real ciders, and has a good atmosphere. However it can get ridiculously crowded at busy times. Perhaps some other local landlords should note it's success and copy the model.

This pub is well known for having an amazing selection of guest ales and ciders. The range is ever changing and well stocked. The pub itself is amazing for drinks, arguably the best in the area. Not too sure on the food if I’m honest....More

A very popular watering hole in Twickenham, with many locals and visitors. A very comprehensive menu is usually available and very popular. Craft ales and ciders are changed very regularly. So much so, a drink you like one day may not be there the next!...More

About 20 mins walk out of town but for the beer range it is worth it. Very reasonable prices.. Less than £4 for a tasty 6%er on our visit. Very large, but shady garden ....

I had my 50th birthday party here and the staff were amazing. They expertly cooked a hog roast and provided delicious salads in a private area. They had a bouncy castle for the children and gave me 2 lovely bottles of fizz on the house....More

This pub is how I always imagine a real ale pub to be - aged decor, old fashioned seats yet a great atmosphere. The staff were very helpful in explaining their real ales of which there was a large selection. This is a pub where...More

Always at least twelve ales and five ciders on draught plus three or four on keg also. Friendly and helpful young staff and relaxed clientelle of ale drinkers. Big beer garden open in the summer and small kitchen serving decent bar food. Highly recommended.

Great food, beer and cider. Frequent live music. Not swarming with kids although they're welcome as are dogs. Loyalty card system is genius.

To be honest i didnt realise the place had been done up and we generally use to avoid the place. What a mistake. We had a fantastic roast dinner on Sunday. Only downside they ran out of puddings. Lovely garden with heaters and great choice...More
