An interesting & varied experience. Knowledgeable guides, working machinery & fascinating information which, amongst other things, explains many well known colloquial phrases.Excellent hat display at end. A must if you have visitors staying & dion't know where to take them locally!

If you just wander about this museum you will not get the most out of it. If you take the guided tour (£5, less for Concessions) it is likely to exceed your expectations. I found the hat production process absolutely fascinating. The lady on Reception...More

Only a short walk away from the air raid shelters we decided to visit the museum of hatting as well. We didn’t pay as we were taking ourselves around the building. The next tour wasn’t until 1.30pm due to staff shortages & we couldn’t wait...More

I'm afraid there isn't a cafe but the city centre is a stone's throw from the museum with yummy restaurants and lovely little cafe's
