I will share the email that I sent to “customer service”:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing you to share the disappointment I faced today during my visit to the farm.

After to spend our afternoon with my 2 years old baby in the farm, we were leaving when I noticed that my phone was off. We really needed it to get a taxi to come back home.
We asked in the tea room to the staff, a woman in her late 30s, if there were any plug to charge the phone for 5 minutes. She said it was not posible and refused to help us. In a desperate way to solve our problem we found next to the toilets a plug. The same woman came and in a rude way told us to leave the farm immediately as the farm was closed. Even after to share with her our problem, she refused again to help.
The farm was closed, but there were still staff working. We could have wait outside meanwhile the phone was charging…

I feel really disappointed. We spent more than £60 in the farm to receive this unpleasant behaviour.

As a consequence, we had to go walking with no direction with my 2 years old baby. Fortunately after 30 minutes we found a petrol station. The staff kindly helped us.

I would really appreciate a response.

Kind regards.

Next day I received an email using ridiculous arguments. They said that unfortunately due to the new UK General Data Protection Regulation the company was not allowed to plug in mobile phones and also my phone had not been pat tested by their electrician so again it was against the law to plug it into their electric's.

1- I have been in cafes, hotels, restaurants… and no one ever told me I can not use a plug for 5 minutes to charge my phone because it should be pat tested by their electrician or I am doing something against law.

2- They should read more about GDPR, which is a Customer data protection/privacy law and has nothing to do with electric switches.

Didn’t like that you only had 2.5 hours - it all felt unbelievably rushed and v v over priced. Attractions, including indoor play, closed early at 350pm, staff shouting at customers to leave
Full price for one year olds, same as a nine year old and adults despite the fact they can’t enjoy half of it. Tractor rides added cost
Very overpriced for what you get especially when closed early.
Ice cream van was cash only, unusual post covid. Fast food van totally not in keeping with family friendly day out. Not a healthy meal in sight.
Manager not available to discuss was in all day meetings (at closing time on a Sunday). I’ve emailed my feedback and not had a reply, I’ve followed up and not had any reply - speaks volumes.
Don’t waste money going here, opt for a venue that strives to keep customers happy and actually cares about feedback .

The farm is lovely with lots to do but the change to only being able to book in for half a day has spoiled it for us. Felt like everything was rushed and the range of activities was pointless as we didnt have enough time to enjoy them. For £9 per person I expect a full day out so would advise another of the petting farms in the area instead.

We have been when the ticket prices were cheaper and it was okay for what you payed then a good few hours to kill with the kids. Now the ticket prices have rocketed too 9 pound an adult and 9 pound a child. Its not worth the extra money to pay compared to other places you can visit for the same prices and make a day out of it. In my opinion not suitible for the average working family but i would sugest going once to make up your own opinion. It is a lovely place i just think its too expensive for what it is. You can visit the animals at heaton park for free and have a great day

The staff at this farm are just lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable. We took our older girls (9 and 11) as the younger really wanted to pet some animals on a wet and windy half term day. They were captivated by the guinea pigs and stroked and cuddled them for ages, under the watchful eye of Kay, the lovely lady hosting the small animal section. A thoroughly pleasant couple of hours despite the weather :)

Reddish vale farm is my little boys favourite place we love visiting for the animals the adventure playground but most of all the Tractor ride! So when I saw the Santa Experience I thought it would be good but they surpassed all expectations it was Brilliant!! The amount of creativity and magical touches that have gone into creating magic and memories blew us away and the look on my sons face was priceless there was no doubt he thought he was at the North Pole! The outfits are amazing , the decorations are spot on, the Christmas trees are huge and it all really makes you feel like you are at the North Pole.

There are even silly things for the Adults to spot like the Elf and Safety poster and there are photographs in Santa’s grotto of the actual actors.
All the elves a lot of familiar RVF staff you were brilliant and Santa was spot on but my personal favourite was Mrs Claus you are a star.

The experience is so organised there are no long waits and it all feels covid safe you need to wear a mask but the spaces are large and well ventilated and some of it is outside too.

We couldn’t believe how much you got to do and keep there was an large plush Elf toy that you stuffed yourself and an elf certificate then a letter to Santa and then a gingerbread decorating session which you could eat or take home and hot chocolate for the parents. They got sweets from the elf shop and then the usual toy from Santa was age specific and not one of those that falls apart on the way home!

To anyone wondering if it’s worth the money it absolutely is, go for it!

I was dubious about how much of a Christmas Experience my local farm could pull off…..I was ASTONISHED! I actually assumed a company had paid them to use the farm but I was wrong. This was masterminded and brilliantly built, decorated and executed to Disneyesque standards by the hard working owners and staff!! Incredible value for money…yes I balked at the price (I’m sorry) but the build an elf and the gift from Santa alone would be worth £20-£25 and then there is the experience!! Bonkers elves entertaining and educating us in all things elf and helping us to build and name our cuddly elf toy( my nephew didn’t put his down for 24 hours afterwards!!) , the glamorous Beyoncé style elves then ushered us to the post office where we wrote our wish lists to Father Christmas on special paper and got it stamped and we popped it in the massive post box, we visited the elf village and saw the elf hotel and sweet shop and got some free samples!! Along a fairy lit lighted tunnel to see Mrs Claus ( very Angela Lansbury!!!! She was PERFECT!!) and help her decorate some gingerbread men , listen to her heart lifting story and then a cheeky mulled wine for the adults and shortbread all round!! We petted the friendly goats and alpacas and gazed in wonder at the reindeer reins hung in their empty stable. Finally the big man ACTUALLY CAME DOWN THE CHIMNEY!! And ……I swear he was the real one!! Perfect!! Thank you for making me the BEST Auntie ever that day!! Highly recommended!!!! Merry Christmas Reddish Vale Farm!!

Loved the Christmas experience. Worth the money. From the 4 well planned activities to the finer details and decorations, all fantastic. Santa himself and Mrs Claus were brilliant. All staff really helpful and the whole thing put a big smile on the kids faces
