I always feel safe having a walk at Byrd because there are families and couples around. Also a good spot to watch or take pictures of east lancs trains and fun watching the ducks

Hi Burrs country park has its own railway station operated by the East Lancashire railway. Also if you pay your council tax to Bury,Rossendale or Rochdale you can apply for a residents permit which provides up to 70% off standard fares(not Santa specials or Thomas...More

We have used Burrs Park for years now. They hold 5K and 10K runs for charity regularly. Good walks and scenery.

Visited on a cold January afternoon with our 2 girls (3 & 8). Had lovely walk along the river and then round to the mill ruins. Enjoyed the sculptures, especially the Trolls! Nice to see East Lancs steam train passing over the bridge. No toilet...More

Hope sonmeone can fund this activity centre in bury lancs to keep it open.such a shame gtreat for kids/teeenagers/adults, fantastic pkace for activities for schools and colleges.

This is an interesting walk with open fields woods river adventure area for the children and picnic area. We go about once a month and thoroughly enjoy it. Parking also is easy.
