If you enjoy a few hours in calm, tranquil, peace and quiet, this is the place for you. There is a naivety (you might say, a lack of commercialism) that we found very appealing. We were not routed through a “gift” shop full of irrelevant...More

This is a National Trust property. The house tours are guided. The house is very interesting in itself but the tour guide made the experience very much better. She made the house and its past owners come alive. It was a great experience.

Very nice Manor House with a very interesting timed tour. Nice gardens and church. The house was the setting for the series Wolf Hall and will feature in the 3rd series of Poldark.

A great local National Trust property. Small but unusual garden, with plenty of character. The house and garden have been used on television dramas and films.
