There are many paths open to the public through this forest, which is made up of divers habitats from open fields to dense woodland. The forest is notable for its huge, ancient oak trees. Walking is excellent.

Nice walk through the woods. BBQ areas, camping and a ice cream van in the summer! Lots of little paths and trails great for walking the dog or riding the bike.

This may not be overly helpful but i camp every year just under Uffington Hill - Britchcombe Farm. it's £8/night, the forest is protected so you will have to purchase wood from the local farmer, he comes round in his van... More
