Visited yesterday. Great little walk of around an hour (reasonable footwear required, bottle of water optional). Views from the top are amazing (we were fortunate to have a good clear day) and the size of the monument is really quite impressive. You can do a...More

Nice walk of about one hour with lovely views over Wiltshire. Once on top you get to see early Saxon settlement.

This is a lovely walk and it has stunning views. Some parts are steep but it. Is certainly worth the climb. The children love to walk up to the top and then round and down again.

Steady climb up the hill passing the chalk white horse. Kids really love seeing the horse from the top. It is a pity that the Lansdowne monument is covered in scaffolding and I urge the National Trust to do something urgently.

Had a nice walk here. Circular path about 1 mile round trip. But path is steep and chalk can be slippery when wet. At the top there is the white horse. Monument and a hill fort. Plenty to see in a short walk

We were on a day trip and in route from Avebury to Lacock and our driver stopped here briefly to explain the history and allow us to take some photos. Simply a beautiful area!
