This is interesting. Small selection of old toys, particularly liked the well furnished dolls house. However there were only two rooms and it did cost £3.50 for an adult. It only took about twenty minutes to look around.

Thank you for your feedback- I am sorry that you feel it was a bit pricy. All visitors are different in the time it takes to go round- from 20 minutes to 2 hours! A child doing one of our quizzes will typically take around 45 minutes. O the £3.50 adult entrance price, 58p of this is VAT and the... More

While this museum is small, the benefit of that is you will look at every piece in the museum! We spent just over and hour looking at the toys from every time period and felt like we had done the museum well. Easily kept us amused and would happily go back.

came on a school trip with 15 children, they open the place especially for us and the person who showed us the place was fantastic with the children and they really enjoyed it. It was good to see so many different toys. A couple of the dolls houses were magnificent, especially the one that looked liked a Swiss Chalet! The... More

This is a hidden gem for children and adults in Ilkley. Three rooms manage to pack in a large number of dolls houses, dolls, and children's games all clearly labelled and at a good viewing height. Highlights range from a strangely moving 4th century BC jointed figure through 19th century dolls houses packed with detail to Thunderbirds and other 60s... More

Offered excellent valuer and amazing collection upon collection of nostalgic delights. Perfect for those born in the 1950s...1960s....70s....80s... Only a small museum, but packed with items from a sixties childhood, there is a ground floor with dolls house and shop dioramas, including a fun fair. Upstairs there is a room full of dolls, some of them quite scary, and across the hall are the model cars an soldiers, lots of "I had one of those" . well worth... More

What a little treasure, our group decided to have a look round on a recent visit to the area, they took part in the quiz and felt they could have stayed all afternoon. The general consensus from the group was if your in the area it's well worth a visit

Had a lovely visit to the toy museum. Planned the trip as the children are looking at toys throughout history as part of a school project. It was well worth the £8 cost for a family ticket and there was a good selection of toys. The museum isn't large and the displays are over two floors. Having read previous negative... More

We brought a big group of children here from age three to fifteen and all of us found something to enjoy. We loved the beautiful detail of the Victorian dolls houses, the mechanical fairground was great fun and the dolls upstairs are beautiful, especially the Queen Elizabeth coronation doll. Will definitely come back.
