Xishuangbanna is at the very south-west border of China. As a consequence, what you can find here is a mixture of architectural styles and cultures from Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Chinese ethnic minorities.

Jonghong is a very relaxed, laid-back city. The night market offeres delicious food (we tried only the veggie dishes though...).

This place was a melting pot of Myanmar, Thailand, Laos & Vietnam.mixing with Chinese assent! Staying at crowne plaza is a right choice as it keeps you in a tropical environment than the noisy town.

You can contact local tour, because I buy the package tour from Bangkok to Chiangrai.. But some tour may go to Chiangrai and took the trip to Chiangkhong.

'Banna' has a year-round tropical, i.e. humid and warm. climate with unexpected showers normally clearing fairly quickly. For those living in the northern areas of China, Banna is a welcome relief from the cold winters... More
