You will understand a part of why Chinese culture could last so long, if you visit this garden school. Almost every little part of design reflects the fact that the spirits encouraging people to study hard, study as you live, study from each other, so that can get prosperity There is still a high school nearby this temple that the... Old garden worth the visit around the mini lake with lotus flower. Nothing magnificent but quite relaxing in the middle of the city. Worth the visit

If you are in Jianshui, you should go there. It is very relaxing and peaceful and beautiful. There are temples to visit, a small lake in the middle with a temple and just walking around is very nice.

Confucius Temple is actually a complex of temples and gardens dedicated to the worship of China’s greatest philosopher and teacher. China’s second largest Confucius temple was built during the Yuan Dynasty in 1285 and has a 625-meter-long axis connecting six courtyards and 31 buildings. The gardens, arches and many wood carvings date from the Ming and Ching dynasties. The statues... More

This is must see if you are in Jianshui. I think it's nicer than the original in Qufu. There are beautiful, old, carved doors and scenic views. It was also less crowded. We visited about 8am, when there were practitioners of Tai chi going through their morning routines wearing white silk outfits. It was worth a visit just to watch... More

Staying at the stunning guest house at its southern entrance, we got entrance tickets for free. Otherwise, at 60 yuan, this place doesn't seem worth it. No wonder it was so quiet, with few visitors. The upside is you can have a quiet walk around the lake. Apparently, it was a place for study as well as a temple, as... More

The lake is nice and the temple okay but for ¥60 you could see more interesting things in most other places. Don't believe any local hype, it's no different to other Chinese temples.
