Kuqa Grand Canyon is a beautiful place, where you can walk around 1 or 2 hours through a (at our time) dry river bed. There were not many people, so it was a quiet and wonderful place. During our visit it was very sunny, but...More

There are a few river canyons in the area. The one that most tourist visited and on most photos are abt 1 km down the road. It requires an entrance ticket. I visited another canyon. It is by a small car park just before the...More

Easy hike through a very narrow canyon. It was crowded, but worth the visit. Canyon is prone to flash floods so beware! Wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet and dirty.

All the surroundings are amazingly impressive with the geological curiosity (red hills, cliffs and canyons). It is not worth buying a ticket to visit the official site as far as it is forbidden to enter the canyon ( if correctly understood...)

Visited in mid June 2017 - huge and magnificent - like walking back in time. The curve of the formation is interesting. Easy walk though some part is wet. Not crowded when we reach around 1030 am. Highly recommended place in Kuche.

Kuche Grand Canyon should not be missed for any visitor to this part of Xinjiang. Actually the drive there is part of the experience as you weave through incredible landforms weathered from sandstone by wind and rain over centuries. Make sure you make this a...More
