Until I arrived, I had no idea this was literally where the first rail travel of any sort began in the United States. Seriously. The train has two coach cars from the 1930's or 40's that have been restored and one air conditioned, more modern...More

A relaxing ride on a beautiful summer day on a fully restored passenger train along the Lackawaxen River. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the train service. Highly recommend for all ages.

The passenger coaches have been lovingly restored. New paint. Very clean. Friendly knowledgable conductor and volunteers. We went to Lackawaxen. Beautiful scenery. A relaxing way to spend a morning. Not sure it's good for small children. They might find it boring.
