Our first visit to this attraction and even though it is winter the butterfly atrium is wonderful. Many species of butterflies and they are eating fruit and flying around and will actually sit on you. They seemed to love a bright blue on my grandson's sweat shirt, and wanted to investigate my camera. The children's outside garden is awesome (Hershey... More

I'm a member, but was not able to return for a visit since they opened up the new conservatory. The Butterflies were great. Also hit it on the last day of the Orchid Show - oops - should've checked website - so the place was packed. But still the experience was fun, will just remember to check event schedule in... More

We enjoyed the butterfly atrium very much! It was well organized and they have a nice variety of butterflies and larvae. We also walked in the garden and saw a variety of winter birds.

We actually went here in the winter, so I cannot comment on the gardens. We came for the butterflies. They have an excellent educational demonstration showing all of the stages of butterfly development. Occasionally you might be able to have a butterfly land on you, if you like (wear red if you want to encourage them). I got some excellent... More

Conveniently located next to The Hotel Hershey and just up the hill from Troegs Brewery, the Hershey Outlets, and Hershey Park, Hershey Gardens is a peaceful and affordable oasis worth a visit any time of the year. A special 3-day Orchid Show complemented the butterfly atrium at Hershey Gardens on this winter day in February. We visited the Orchid Show first since we anticiptaed a larger crowd later in the morning. Just a fantastic array of beautiful orchids spread throughout the display area in the Conservatory. re worth the price of admission, but of course are only... More

We visited the Butterfly Atrium which is a toasty 80+ so dress accordingly. Loads of photo ops with over 400 butterflies. Don't miss the back wall with butterflies emerging from chysallises. Not much happening in the outdoor gardens but we walked around and saw some interesting trees and a few hellebores in bloom. Entrance fees are discounted through March 31... More

We visited the NEW butterfly atrium with our 2 granddaughters ages 2 & 7. We were a little hesitate with it being January and cold. It was actually the best time to go. Atrium is maintained at 80+ degrees, the 400+ butterflies we saw were beautiful, majestic and active. We stayed in the Atrium about 1 hour. It was not... More

The Butterfly Atrium at Hershey Gardens is a sweet treat to visit. Being surrounded by many species of butterflies might seem a little overwhelming. But if you are cautious about where you step, you may be rewarded by one landing on you! These really are very beautiful creatures.

The plants I have seen in spring are absolutely breathtaking! On top of all of that, there's the atrium I visited in January. Who would have thought 500 butterflies could be crammed into that spot. I even had 5 butterflies trying to escape by hanging onto my jacket. Don't leave Hershey without seeing the gardens.
