Okay

The parking was okay but you can't see the lines on the roads and the bridge looked like it could fall down at any time .....

Harrisburg has a lot to offer. There is the Whitaker Center, the Harrisburg Symphony, lots of great restaurants, but you have a high fee to park. The only free day is Sunday. If Harrisburg wants to attract people on Saturday, parking should be free.

In the last few years Harrisburg has transformed itself from a city you want to leave as soon as you can to a place that could actually be a destination. The State Museum, the Civil War Museum, the river walk, City Island are only a few of the things to see. There are great restaurants, architectural views everywhere you turn,... More

Downtown Harrisburg is a beautiful place with an awesome state capital building, there are great spots to sit out and enjoy a drink or snack along Second and Third Street but don't stay out downtown too late, it can get sketchy. if you find yourself out downtown too late stay on Second Street and don't venture off.

The diversity of restaurants in Harrisburg is amazing! We went to so many excellent restaurants, I don't know where to begin. Check out the Fire House and Café Fresco. Oh, and stop by for drinks at Comb; a 1920's Speakeasy--very awesome!

Enjoyed seeing the capitol and the usual downtown architecture. Impressed with the number of early 1800 buildings. Loved the gay and the funky neighborhoods at the edge of downtown. Fun to browse.

An enjoyable fan fair of food and drink. From Irish pubs to micro breweries, and safe walking day or night. Plenty of parking garages at a very fair price. A must do for Harrisburg, Pa!!!

Stayed in this town for 2 nights at the end of our vacation to visit hershey park. In that 2 day period, car was vandalized, saw a robbery, wife was attacked by 6 workers at a dunkin donuts, because she walked out after they wouldnt melt her sugar. After the attack, the police came. They basically told us to brush... More

A nice place to stroll in and see all the old buildings and bridges during a sunny day. Nice to go with a group of people rather than solo.

The downtown area is a mixed bag. There are a lot of nice places to walk to and see. The churches and some of the older buildings have great features to see. There are a lot of restaurants there. The best gem is the Capitol and the state museum. The problems are the traffic especially at the time the offices... More
