Teddy Roosevelt declared that this Italian Renaissance-style building was “the handsomest building I ever saw”. Indeed, the State Capitol, with its vaulted dome and grand staircase and the murals and painted floors inside, is thing to behold.

It was a joint session so rather special. Interesting tour with guide, but didn't invite questions. You can wander around and look in various officers, and both chambers.

The Harrisburg Capitol Building is outstanding and worth a visit. The dome of the building was inspired by Michelangelo’s design for St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. So if you are an admirer of architecture or fine art, you will love this touring this building.
