You can see and smell the making of the famous Utz Potato Chips and Snacks at our over 600,000 square foot facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. There, we have built a special glass enclosed observation gallery that looks down on our production process from beginning to end. You will be guided step-by-step with the aid of a push-to-talk audio program and closed-circuit TV monitors. A wall display of Utz's history will enhance your understanding of the company and its products. From start to finish, you'll be impressed with the care we put into Utz Potato Chips. At Utz, we use the finest ingredients and the most advanced equipment. Our factory is one of the cleanest and most modern snack food operations in America. The Utz Potato Chip Trip is fun for the whole family, a learning experience for young and old, and a snack lover's delight. Come and enjoy the free tour at your own pace!

If you enjoy factory tours, this is a very good one. The self guided tour affords great views of the entire process: Receiving, washing, peeling, slicing and cooking the potatoes and then quality control, packaging, warehousing and shipping of the final product. There is informative...More

Self-guided tour but very cool and informative. You see the actual production line from above and audio stops along the way explain each step literally from potatoes to being shipped out. There is a worker near the entrance to answer questions and you get a...More

What a great tour. I've worked in quality control in a factory my whole working life so I enjoyed showing my wife just what was going on as we moved from area to area on our overhead walk. It started with the history of Utz...More

This is a mostly self-guided experience as you watch an introductory video and then follow the production line from above with audio recorded explanations. And a free sample bag of chips at the end! A fun experience.

I love this tour! Seeing how they get those potato chips seasoned is so cool. You get to see everything from start to finish and then get a bag of chips at the end. Utz is the very best you can get!

I loved going on this self-guided tour. There is a ton of information on the company, the staff is friendly, and you get a free bag of original chips. But the best part is walking along the catwalk behind glass and seeing exactly how quickly...More

Took my daughter on my day off and was a simple but informative self guided tour. If you have kids and/or like UTZ, it is worth the short visit.

Not really. There are stairs to climb up and no elevator available. I think there is a very limited sight line for the factory by taking another route but you can not look down and see the actual operation.
