The atmosphere from this state park is so similar to the ocean. On one half of the park there are sandy beaches, the other is Bayside views with paved walking trails. I suggest seeing the lighthouse because it is a beautiful piece of history on...More

We had several hours to kill before a wedding and decided to visit this park. The place is huge and has many beach and picnic areas. Parking was never a problem when we stopped to visit a historic lighthouse and to rent Aqua Cycles.

We loved visiting Presque Isle. I’m a big lighthouse fan, and the ones here do not disappoint. Great beach, gorgeous sunsets, history, wildlife, houseboats, activities for all ages. Just a really great place to visit!

We'd heard so much about Presque Isle State Park and took the opportunity to drive through it. Lovely trails for bicyclists and joggers; picnic areas; benches to take in the views. Lovely way to watch a sunset too.

Yes, people brought their own kayaks. They can be rented too. The sandy beaches are on the Lake Erie side of the Isle. They're all nice and not crowded.

Yes, the tent type, but there may be restrictions as to how close you can put it to the water. We saw several on Beaches 10 & 11 on June 17-18, 2018.
