There is a lack of signs, which is a big drawback. Lack of signs indicating which beach you are at, as well as a lack of directional signs to guide you. For a state park, I was disappointed it was not set up better to...More

We are here frequently! Love the sandy beaches on Lake Erie. There are nature trails, pontoon and boat tours, picnic areas, play grounds, snack bars, bath houses, fishing areas, bird watching, 2 lighthouses and the educational Tom Ridge Environmental Center. Also nearby are Waldamere Amusement...More

Great place to ride bikes and play by the lake. It's quiet and relaxing. The sunsets are gorgeous... just don't stick around too long afterwards because the mosquitoes get pretty bad about a half hour after when the sun goes down.

Although I'm not a fan of the beaches or how crowded they get, I do love beyond a doubt the beauty of this place. I recommend that you explore the whole peninsula as there are a lot of hidden mysteries.

I was only at Beach 11, but I heard the lifeguard tell someone else that 11 has the least waves, and it is pretty flat to get in the water. It worked for me as I was using a cane. There were many small children there and... More
