This is a wonderful place to visit and learn about our maritime history. It's hands on and that is the best way to learn in my opinion. The husband and wife tour guides that we had were terrific. We have two children (12 and 10),...More

Our entire family enjoyed our visit. It isn't a huge museum but the quality of the displays are great. I would definitely visit again.

The entrance into the Erie Maritime Museum was via the Shipwright's Store. It's here that we paid our 10$ per person and it was worthwhile. Then we entered into the museum, that used to be a power plant. It had some info about it. The...More

This is a must-see attraction in Erie. This great maritime museum has something for all ages and also a first rate bookstore. It's especially nice when the Brig Niagara is in port because the Brig is so fun to see.

We went before lunch and had the museum to ourselves. An hour or two should be plenty. We really enjoyed it!

I agree with Robby, at least 2 hours, if you want to see everything, take your time and spend 3. I would think the Diamond Tour would allow you enough time to take it all in. Enjoy!
Is it open in Dec?
