This was my second time attending a workshop at PEEC. The cabins are comfortable, large with lots of bunk beds. The mattresses were not so comfortable, some people doubled up or brought air mattresses. The food is ok, not the best and not the worst. It is at a great location for exploring some beautiful places nearby.

This fairly large compex has a variety of things to offer. A number of short trails start here, there are classes, guided walks, exhibits on wildlife. It is free and has some lovely views, especially a lake across the road what has spectacular color in the fall.

This place is neat. They have a bunch of bones and rocks that you can touch at the visitors center. You sign in for a free hike, grab a trail guide, and head out. My husband & I travel by ourselves, but we saw a bunch of kids and families, and there was some sort of educational activity going on.... More

I made a big series of loops into one trail. While not particularly challenging across the whole, short parts around the falls were a bit steep. Nice scenery, but don't expect to be immersed in wild forest. Most the land had been logged out this century, so it's new-growth forest slowly recuperating. I thought the best trails were the ones... Several different hiking trails for hikers of all ability including a wheelchair accessible trail. Trail guides available for a small fee. On summer weekends PEEC can be reached by the MCTA Pocono Pony free river runner shuttle service.

Excellent place to escape from "the city" - came here for a department retreat and team building experience. It was excellent! They were able to accommodate the needs of our group and work with us.

Starting in 1988, our family met up with other families at PEEC for a weekend each year. This was a great place for our young families until about 2004. Since our children have grown, we have visited about three times including August 2015. We still find the hiking trails to be wonderful. They are groomed and well-marked. It's a great... More

If you go just for the trails, you'll have a great time. However, check out their web site to see what programs are going on. They are always excellent and well run.

Had a quick stop over in the deleware water gap and found this organization through a trip advisor forum thread. We were able to sign up for a free kayak/canoe opportunity as well as get some suggestions/recommendations for other hikes within the park.

a nice place to get some exercise, nice set of trails available, starting from or near the Main Building and parking lot. No charge to hike the trails. You can buy water, Gatorade, etc in the Main Building. Plenty of nature programs offered at the Center. Recommend the Tumbling Waters Trail, plan about 2 hours, moderate hiking, some ups and...
