Our family went camping for three days (non/electric site) last week. The park itself is gorgeous, especially with the leaves turning color and falling with the breeze (although this makes it difficult to see the hiking trails which aren't that well marked). The walk-in campsite was secluded and private from our neighbors, though the ground wasn't quite level and a... More

My wife and I were here about a month ago and it's a beautiful park. It's well kept and has a lot to offer. We picnicked by the lake and took a long walk. There was a catch and release fishing tournament the day we were there. The pool area is fantastic and brand new. Plenty of parking, lots of... More

I am relatively new to running and prefer a road less traveled. Jogging at the Lackawanna State Park is great - if you start all the way in at the balloon launch and job to the entrance, you then can return along the walking path next to the lake making a loop of about 2 miles. Speed limit is 15... More

With the lake and surrounding mountains, this is such a beautiful place. The park has many trails and spots for picnics. The new pool and large splash pads are among the best around. This is a great use of our tax dollars. We will utilize this park as much as possible.

We only stayed here for one night, but it would be nice to go back again. They have a very nice bathroom in the campground. Showers with doors, not just a shower curtain. We walked one trail and saw a milksnake. The park rangers at the visitors center helped us identity the snake. The trail wasn't cleared off too well.... More

There's a little bit of something for everyone. Swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, camping, relaxing....flora and fauna. We usually take the dogs hiking and absolutely love the trails....we still have not done them all but so far we've really liked the trails. The ones we've been on have had some steep climbing both up hill and down and have taken us... More

Lake is too big for only electric engines.Small power motors are needed to fish the entire lake. This restriction limits my use of the facility.

Would have been nice if I was able to enjoy my stay in this park, but it was cut short by VERY loud people ( total of 10 in two cabins) with amplifiers. No kidding it was a cold April Saturday night staying in a yurt that states it has heat, but holding a match in a tent is more... More
