I was initially pretty apprehensive about our stay due to several negative reviews I read beforehand but I am very glad to have ignored that feeling because we had an absolutely wonderful stay. Of course it was disappointing that the slopes weren't open...Mother Nature had other plans obviously. We stayed in a studio room and were very pleased with how... More

4 of the 5 children we took skiing here, and who were all experienced skiers, got serious injuries the first day out. All five children will probably NEVER SKI AGAIN. The skis were tightened far too much AND NOT ONE SKI RELEASED IN A VARIETY OF FALLS. 3 of the children had to go to the emergency room. I would... More

The condo's are disgusting and falling apart. The first condo we went to had broken smoke alarms hanging off the ceiling. We asked to move since they couldn't be fixed. The next place we went to, they were also broken. Since it was only for a night, and snowing outside we stayed (I so was tempted to stay in my... More

We have spent a week in the cabins during the summer months the past couple of years and have enjoyed our time there very much. They do have very small bedrooms with bunk beds, but in one of them we used the pullout sofa for the queen size bed. It was comfortable enough. The kitchens are fairly well stocked with... More

I don't ski, but I've visited Blue Knob State Park many times in the spring and fall. It's a beautiful place, and in the off-season, you pretty much have the mountain to yourself. You can see for miles from the summit. You can hike for hours (a park map from the ranger's station will show you a variety of trails).... More

Blue Knob is a great local mountain for skiing. Good lift ticket prices and hardly ever any crowds. For a mountain located in the mid-Atlantic states the terrain is challenging and varied. When the entire mountain is open (usually by mid to the end of January) it's excellent skiing. The lodge is dated and could use some TLC. The food... More

Having previously lived in New Hampshire, we were not expecting much from the ski resorts in Pennsylvania when we moved here but we were pleasantly surprised by Blue Knob. The resort is dated and the lifts are slow but the runs are long and reasonably challenging. It's usually pretty quiet there so you aren't constantly dodging other skiers which makes... More

I have to start by saying I have never been skiing before so really can't speak to the quality of the slopes, but I can tell you there were alot of choices for intermediate and skilled skiers, which I was not. There were only 2 beginner slopes which got boring quick. The intermediate slope I did try a couple of... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom "condo". Nothing has been updated since the 70's. The pictures on the walls had broken glass in the frames. We couldnt use the balcony because wooden posts from above deck had fallen off and blocked our door. Notified management and nobody came over the 3 days we were there. We bought tickets to go... PROS: The best technical runs in PA. Beautiful scenery, lack of crowds, more affordable lift tickets, best vertical in PA. CONS: inconsistent information on website. Blue Knob lives and dies by natural snow fall because that is the way the runs and trails are setup. It is a skiers mountain and the best runs require ample natural snow. By best... More
