We were looking for our PA relatives and the volunteers at the Historical Center were most helpful. From the front desk to the research librarian we found them willing to share their resources.

Full of local furniture, clocks, stoneware, quilts and local lore. But not to be missed is the lager photo of all the students at he Carlisle Indian School where there is not a single smiling face. Sad.

Small but impressive displays at this free museum. Even though we live in the county, there is a lot to learn here. Did you know that Nazi POWs were kept in the woods near Pine Grove Furnace?
