Best coastline ever!

Beautiful coastline with plenty of pull outs and parking to use that camera. Hallmark photo opportunities every mile. No matter the weather it is always a delight.

The drive down 101 is one stunning view after another, and well worth stopping in and around Yachats. The distressing disappointment was that the tide pools at Strawberry Hills no longer have sea stars or much other life. We were told that something - a bacteria? has killed almost all sea stars along the entire coast. I was last there... More

This is a Cute little town, my favorite in Oregon. Beautiful ocean views. The Oceanside trail is well kept. It's paved with benches along the way.

Drivers are at a disadvantage on this section of road. You have to pay attention to the road as it is quite serpentine. Look for a turnout and appreciate the scenery whilst stationary. The beach at bob creek is fantastic. Lots of rocks to cross over to get to the sand.

Yachats is a lovely small town. Residents are friendly. Good restaurants. The beach south of town is wonderful for walking. The Yachats River enters the ocean just south of town. The State Park, west of the community, offers clean restrooms, lots of parking and a walk out over the rocks. Great place to view whales. Yachats has a facebook page... More

I can't even begin to say how beautiful this area is. There is a State Park about every 5 miles and we stopped at most of them. Each one was different and wonderful. It would be hard to say which one was the best. Being here in Nov. , though it was colder, it wasn't crowded, which was great.

One of the most interesting and beautiful coast in America. We stay at the Overleaf Lodge every year and walk along the 804 trail.

You can park and explore along the rocks a tidal pools and all the driftwood. People have built little shelters out of the wood and there are incredible views.

Having grown up in Eugene, We'd take day trips to Florence...rarely going further than driftwood shores.until we dis covered the jewel of the central coast. If there is a break in the weather it always starts on 804 trail Sun starts to peak out and the ocean comes alive! Imo, it is the best place for a romantic getaway. Try... More
