The covered bridge on the Yachats River road is a bit out of the way but well worth the time to find it. And, as it is at the end of the road, once you find it you get to drive back! The road is a good two lane most of the way, through a pleasant valley...fog draped the morning... More

This is one of my favorite covered bridges in Oregon. Take a tripod for your camera so you can use a long shutter and get enough light to make a good exposure. The red should come out more this way too. Can't get underneath this one but the nearby cedar trees and the overall location are photogenic.

This is an out of the way attraction. It is about 10 miles up the Yachats River road. You will not stumble across this place. You must want to search it out. Upon arrival, you will find a small (about 50 feet in length) covered bridge. The drive itself is very nice alongside rivers, through forests and pastures. This is... More

A nice little example of Oregon's effort to preserve their historic covered bridges. This one is out of the way & on the way to nowhere. I believe the road ends at private property soon after the bridge. The drive to the bridge from Yachats up Yachats River Road is very nice & a nice change of pace from the... More

You could be anywhere on the east coast. The vegetation gives it away. It's the Pacific Northwest. You drive inland from the sea, out of Yachats through forest and fields. It's a short lovely drive.

Scenic drive along the Yachats River leads to this pretty covered bridge. Photogenic area. Go early in the day before anyone else decides to hit the road. It's best when you're the only ones there. It's a small area and there's no hiking or anything else to explore. Look for the Oreo Cows on the south side of the road... More

This little bridge is a charmer. Photo opps were few, however, since neighbors had placed a garbage container close to it, and the neighbor on the other side positioned a bright red car in view of the bridge's exit, so if you tried to photograph the bridge all the way through the red car was in the distance. There was... More

A bit out of town on the Yachats River road. Was a pretty drive and worth the trip. The bridge is well kept. I think I read that it is the shortest in Oregon!

As I understand from a local we talked to...this bridge was rebuilt within the last couple years. Construction is impressive! Beautiful spot. Drove up on a sunny evening and enjoyed it.

We really enjoyed this drive, which culminates with the covered bridge. There are a few places along the way where you can pull off and walk down to the river as well as access to a wildlife area. Will be returning to explore more and hike a bit.
