The 1st time we came here, we just peeked over the rail and moved on, but this time even in the rain we walked all the way to the bottom and it was very cool! You can feel the power of the Pacific and just be mesmerized by the waves crashing and splashing! We loved it!

We hiked down to this sight during a full rainstorm. We took three small dogs down all the stairs and a baby. We learn to work with what we have to see what we want to see. It was a short walk. The trail leads you right into the sights. This is an inlet of where the water comes in... More

Just south of Yachats, Oregon on Highway 101 is a quick turnout at Cape Perpetua State Park. It might look pretty simple but what lies below the turnout is one of the best places for an day hike. As you go down the 1/4 mile trail you can turn left or right. Left take you to a quiet cove beach... More

Wow, this place was so neat. We traveled down to the churn because a friend of mine told me how fantastic it was. It did not disappoint. The best part, for us, was being able to walk out on the rocks and just sit for a few hours watching the waves hit the rocks. It was so surreal. It's a... More

Natural beauty of Devil's Churn. A trip down the coast is not complete without a stop over here to see the oceans power at work.

The unspoiled rapture of the Oregon Coast is embraced by this magnificent display of Nature. Don't miss it, and plan to walk a bit. We've been there dozens and dozens of times, never once the same. The nearby Visitors Center offeres movies, views and 1st class accomodations for tourist activities.

Great place to stop along the 101 and enjoy the view. Great picture opportunities and there are clean restrooms.

The power of the water is pretty amazing...the water hits the rocks with awesome force tossing, turning, churning...it truly is a wonder what nature can do. Do yourself a favor and do a quick stop at this place to see mother nature at play.

The Devil's Churn is all that you expect from the name and the pictures you see in advance, but then to see the power as seemingly irresistible force meets seemingly immovable object. Wow. On top of that, the colors: blue/gray skies as the clouds whipped about, deep blue ocean, and several shades of cream and white from all the wave-froth.

Went on a day where the waves were huge and foam was flying everywhere! Just fantastic! We had one boy in a wheelchair and he could get most places. We just needed to carry him the last few yards to get to the real churn! Not all paved but still mostly accessible!
