It 's difficult to describe this place, because it is unique. Most people probably prefer to go when the weather is sunny, warm and dry, but I think it's even more beautiful when there are storm clouds blowing through because that's when you see spectacular rays of sunlight and rainbows over the fields. Take your rain gear and WEAR your... More

Absolutely beautiful day when we went. Saw Mt. St. Helen & Mt. Hood. The ground was still muddy at some parts but still worth the trip. Good to go on the first two weeks of the festival. Plenty of colorful blooms at that time.

We probably chose a wrong time to go there, but when we got there, there were almost no visitors, no vendors, nothing was really going on. When we walked between the tulips, it looked really sad. I mean the tulips were super pretty, but the spaces between the rows were so ugly and the ends of the tulip rows were... More

The wooden shoe tulip festival is simply stunning. The wide variety of tulips go on for miles and is a fun adventure for all and a must see.

We went here the first of May, the tulips were about 10 days away from their final bloom, but what was still there was fabulous. We had rain clouds looming but managed to make it through the fields before they arrived. We went specifically to photograph the area. You are allowed to wonder around at will, they have fresh flowers... More

Came all the way from Utah to see the Tulip Festival. Even in the rain it was so pretty! So great for photographers and can see the appeal it would have for families as well! It was rainy while I was there so not crowded at all, definitely muddy, but had my boots on, so nothing to worry about there.... More

We timed our visit to Oregon just right for tulip season. Easy to find off the main road and a beautiful hour or so spent walking round the amazing lines of tulips as far as the eye can see, taking loads of photos and soaking in the beautiful colours.

We were very fortunate to have beautiful weather the day we went to the farm but bring your old shoes because it will have rained at some point and it will be muddy. I have never been to a tulip farm before so I didn't know what to expect. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is like a big fair with... More

Woodburn Tulip shoe had two fields. One could go in the middle of the flowers. Pretty good place, not over crowded and nearer to other scenic places like crater lake, Multnomah falls, etc.

Since we were in the area, we decided to visit the Tulip Festival. Do NOT go on a Saturday in beautiful weather following rainy days. A bad choice on my part. It took us about 3 hours to get into the parking area. This included quite a distance backed up on the main highway just to get to the location.... More
