Sandy Island is a must see!! This was our favorite thing we did on our trip in the Caribbean. The food is amazing and the island is so beautiful fun! The boat ride out to the island is also so much fun in itself because you get to sail on the ocean in a speed boat!! I would definitely recommend... More

We took a boat from Sandy Ground out to this tiny island that has a lovely beach, swimming in seas that are gentle and less so, and a wonderful restaurant and bar. We took an 11am boat out and a 4pm boat back, we walked, swam, snorkeled, looked at shells and rocks, ate, drank, and lounged in the sun (lots... More

We spent a day here. Took the boat from Sandy Ground out to the Island. There were plenty of chairs and we had some shade. We ordered our lunch (told them what time we wanted to eat). We spent the day lounging, snorkeling, walking in the sand, and people watching. Okay, we may have napped a little, too. A very... More

We make sure to get to Sandy Island EVERY time we visit Anguilla. Really fun with a big group and a relaxed attitude. Bring your snorkel gear and a WaBoba Ball for added fun!

This is a nice island and a nice boat road to get there. But, I would not go on a windy day. The drinks were nice, but it was yet another costly excursion where I didn't feel I got the bang for the buck. The food was overpriced and mediocre. And, ask prices first because the sticker shock for some... More

The island is a precious spot 3 km far from Anguilla. You can reach it through boats provided by the nest resorts or with the boat of the restaurant located on the island. The restaurant is way too expensive compared to the quality and the quantity of the food: okay that everything has to be brought from Anguilla, but the... More

I have two words: THE FOOD! Do not miss Sandy Island for lunch, the seafood is unbelievable. Aside from the awesome lunch, this place is great to spend the day. Very comfortable lounge chairs/beds and the clearest ocean. I don't know where the time went when I was on Sandy Island, the day flew by I enjoyed every minute of... More

We went there just past 1 pm and stayed for the rest of the day (until 4 pm when they close). Taking the boat is a very quick route to the island from Sandy Ground, though it can be tough if the sea conditions near the island are rough. You can go and return feom hour to hour at the... More

We had such a wonderful, smile-filled day at Sandy Island. THE SEA SHUTTLE (from Sandy Ground pier): On time, cheap ($10 roundtrip), quick, and easy. Beautiful views. THE BEACH: Peppered with sturdy beach chairs/umbrellas—and comfy beds!! Fun to walk around the whole island, which takes <5 minutes. THE WATER: Like all of Anguilla's, lovely. THE FOOD: The mango and Thai... More

came across this inhabited island upon a boat trip. There was no one else at the time. Perfect for relaxation and snorkling.
