Beautiful falls located just off the main road and only a few minutes from Multnomah Falls. Can view from the base, or a 10-minute walk up a bit higher for a better view.

An amazing waterfall that is a short hike from Multnomah. Worth the trip. Be sure to go up to the top…you can get super close to enjoy the mist of this one.

One of many falls in the area and easy to walk around a to get great views for photos. Was not very crowded when we were there around 4 PM on a Sunday.

This is a smaller waterfall near Multnomah and without the stop. There are multiple trails, some short (0.2 miles and then others a mile or more). You can see the falls from the road and there is a small platform where you can see it well. You can hike half way up to get a better vantage point. Definitely worth a stop to take in the beauty.

This is probably the easiest of all the falls to see along the Columbia Gorge. See that TripAdvisor site for more information on the whole stretch along the river.

Wahkeena can be seen from the highway. There is limited parking with a picnic area near the road. There is a very quick 2/10ths of a mile hike up to the base of the waterfall. I highly recommend it. The path is smooth and easy as far as elevation hikes go. Kids and those with partial immobility issues could make it with a slow steady helping hand. The mist and wind coming off the crashing falls will leave you loving the view up there.

Parking can be a major issue. We visited on a Wednesday during October which is considered off season. Parking was not a problem and there were very few people, so our pictures were awesome. If you visit in the summer, you likely will not find a spot. Look into a shuttle coming out of Portland that does hop-on hop-off for several of the falls. They only run during peak season. Shuttles are not an option in off season.

We spent about 20 minutes total here. It looked like there was a longer hike over to Multnomah Falls, but we opted to drive there. We found parking there too.

Fabulous waterfall - with available parking! You cannot park close to Multnomah Falls. This time of year there are a lot of trees and bushes, so you have to get really close to see it.

This was a very pretty waterfall that wasn’t too difficult to get to. There are a lot of people so parking is difficult, but the hike to see this waterfall isn’t too bad. You can take a longer hike that is more difficult up and around to see Multnomah Falls which we did and it was well worth it.

Lovely waterfall close to the famous Multnomah Falls!! Wahkeena Falls is a short walk from Multnomah. There is a trail that connects them both. You can get up close and personal to Wahkeena Falls. Check it out!

We couldn't hike at Multnomah Falls so we went to the Wahkeena Falls trail. You can hike to Fairy Falls which worked well for us. It's a beautiful hike. It's a pretty steep trail - all up and then all down.

I'm hardly bashing Multnomah, but is a horribly crowded tourist trap, and there are countless other beautiful waterfalls along beautiful trails to be discovered, such as this one .... and its only about a 1/2 mile down, parking wise, because you sure as hell aren't finding a parking spot near Multnomah Falls !
