Really a fun stop if you enjoy some wine, cheese and other food item tastings. We stopped in on a Saturday and it was very busy. Long lines but the tastings made it worth it. One disappointment - we stopped in with 2 other couples who were traveling with us to do some wine tasting. It was $5 per person... More

We were at our hotel when I saw a brochure for this place and decided to stop there on our way back to Portland from the Oregon beach trail. Loved it! We bought some wine, tasted some cheese, and sampled some meats. Great stop!!!

We enjoyed this place more than the other well-known cheese factory. There is a wine tasting area where we tasted several very good Oregon wines with the help of the very helpful and friendly staff. Next we tasted some cheese and other samples of dips and sauces. Very nice gift area, too. There is a large picnic area outside and... More

The Blue Heron is so much better and quieter than TCF. Did the wine tastings, which were decent but the friendly, personable staff and the free tastings, not only the cheese, but dips, sauces, etc. make up the difference. Try the Caveman Blue Cheese. Bought some dips (2 berries and one mustard) and I would have bought some cheese if... More

I liked visiting here much more than I did the Tillamook Cheese Factory. The grounds were nice, the gift shop was filled with fun and interesting things, and there were food samples everywhere. It was a lot less crowded and better priced too. I got there around 10AM so didn't have any wine, but I had some coffee and walked... More

We seen the sign and stopped. They have numerous sampling locations to taste what they have to offer in the way of spreads and toppings for crackers or dips. The cheese they provide samples at request, we did not do any wine tasting, nice store and animals outside. You can also order soup and sandwiches from a deli counter with... More

I am always impressed when I go in there, the outside charm with animals and friendly seating areas makes this a must stop attraction for families that are looking for high quality food in a family friendly environment

The Blue Heron is so much better than a well known cheese producer that is 1 mile north. The Blue Heron has friendly staff that are ready to help and serve you. Lots of free tastings, not only the cheese, but dips, sauces, etc. Not crowded as the competition and is soooooo much more personal.

Unlike the Tillamook Cheese Factory, I LOVED this place! It has a really cool atmosphere and a cute picnic area. I would definitely go here again! We did the wine tasting and left with a couple of bottles. Had we known how cool it was we would have brought a lunch and had a picnic there. Definitely worth checking out!
