We heard what a wonderful winery this is but it just didn’t live up to the hype.
The main tasting room has an acoustics problem. We literally had to yell to hear each other over the din. Not the relaxing wine tasting we’re used to.
We tried to pre-order a snack, as suggested, but no one answered the phone; just voicemail.
There needs to be more outdoor tasting. That indoor tasting building was not a good experience!

We had just landed late afternoon--and had read good reviews of this winery which was nicely located to our lodgings. The location of the winery is convenient and the tasting room and surroundings are very attractively done--and very well cared for by the owners. Unfortunately, we found the wines to be somewhat lacking for our tastes, however, most uninviting was that the "pour" to taste the wine was so miniscule as to make it difficult to truly taste the wine. We did, in fact, purchase several bottles of wine--pinot and chardonnay. The chardonnay was very well crafted and we found it very enjoyable.

Only club members sit by the pool, and everyone else watches them enjoy their superior view. Very few seats available altogether, and most have little of the nicer views.
This vineyard's website mentions high ratings for numerous of their wines, but all the ones I tasted (in their standard flight) were bad and tasted like cheap wines.

I was disappointed in Blakelee. They came highly recommended by other wineries in the area, but as soon as we pulled in, my boyfriend and I were considering turning right around. I understand that not everything is not for everybody, but we had had such a good time at other places and felt like we had really gotten to know the area, tasted and purchased really delicious and affordable wine, and chatted with humble winemakers. Blakeslee gives off the impression that they are wanting to invite you into their home, but made us feel as if it was a pretentious party at a big house and we weren't invited. The pours were very small, and the wine was extremely overpriced, especially compared to the other delicious wines in the area. If you are wine tasting, feel free to skip this place, as there are plenty of wineries in the area with just as good of a view and a more relaxing experience.

This small vineyard in the Willamette Valley is located just outside of Newberg and away from the crowds near Dundee. The owners are gracious, wonderful people who clearly enjoy their business and customers. Dreamy pinot noir that stands tall among the valley's other offerings. We had a fantastic time, loved every minute, and will return again. Very highly recommended.

We stopped here on a hot Sunday afternoon in June. First impression; the view! It is phenomenal. Second impression; kind, and helpful staff. Third impression; the Pinot is delicious, full and flavor filled.
We also had a Pinot/ blackberry frozen popsicle. The perfect treat for a hot day and surprisingly tasty.
We left at closing time and I inadvertently forgot my backpack. I did not discover this until we were back in Portland. Mrs. Blakeslee was kind enough to postpone her evening plans a bit so that we could drive back to retrieve the backpack.
This is a first class business all the way. We would spend many an afternoon here if only we lived in Portland instead of Wisconsin.

Great experience! The place is just incredibly beautiful! The wine was great! The white Pinot Noir was a surprise and delicious! I'm a big fan of smaller environments so if your into a big commercial type surrounding keep driving. If you want to feel like your hanging out with the wine maker and the family go here!
Cheers!

Started our tasting inside the tasting room, surprised by the large selection and variety of wines. Following sampling a number of their whites inside, they moved us outside to the gazebo where we tasted a number of their Pinot Noirs. There, we were taken back by the awesome views and we'll maintained grounds. A definite must during your wine tours!

Bill & Sheila are the best! I love it when owners come out and hang with their customers. Blakeslee has a beautiful patio with a wood burning oven, gorgeous endless pool overlooking the vineyards & a tasting room for members that is stunning! The wines are so good, even the white ones!! What something different & delicious? Try the white pinot noir, simply fabulous!

Great wine, a lovely space but it wasn't my thing. Most of the space was reserved for their members like the infinity pool which is fair but the non-member space is limited. The tasting room was on the small side so forget discussing with your friends if you don't like the wine without feeling rude. There are a few wineries that I love standing at the tasting bar because they will suggest pairings or talk to me about a pour I'm not excited about. This is not that sort of tasting room. With the buzz in summer, we came back on a cooler day for a tasting to avoid the crowds and found the tasting room staff very helpful with questions about the wines but most were just average.
