I love to take pictures of flowers. The garden is free to visit and open during the spring. They have a huge display garden where there is a sample of each iris they have on offer. They have mixed in other flower like columbine, peony, and ornamental trees so you can get a feel for what the iris would look... More

Schreiner's Iris Garden is more than just rows of iris plants one imagines will be there - it's a large, mixed garden that is beautiful. Lots of happy strollers taking it all in, and there is a food booth and nice garden store. A great way to spend an afternoon.

I am not reviewing the gardens, but their mail order business. I have ordered irises from Schreiner's on several occasions and continue to be amazed when I open the package to see fresh, exceptionally large rhizomes. I will not even consider ordering form elsewhere, regardless of price. You get what you pay for and then some from Schreiner's. They're the... More

Nice to spend a Spring morning at a well kept garden. The only concern is the price of the bulbs appears to be high than necessary.

I went 4 times to see most of the dwarf iris in bloom. Go twice, if you can, to see the taller ones. It's a lovely garden with good walking on grass and places just to sit. Seeing the blooming iris right there makes it easy to choose some for home. If it is dry, it should be wheel-chair accessible.... More

Thank you for the great review. It's good advice to suggest coming to the gardens more than once, as the various varieties of Iris do open at different times throughout the spring. Each visit will offer something new to see. We look forward to your repeated visits. All the best to you! More

We took the family to the gardens for Mother's Day. The blooms were almost over for the season, but it was still quite a sight. Be prepared to walk through the acres of display gardens. It is a good use of a couple hours of a Saturday or sunday in the spring.

My husband and I go every year to Schreiner's Gardens. The variety of irises and other flowers never cease to amaze us. We love being able to take our time as we stroll thru all the paths between their garden layouts because we both are photographers. The colors "palettes" are rich...and it's fun trying to catch the bees and hummingbirds... More
