Absolutely beautiful, awe inspiring, truly God's country. My only drawback would be is that we took our 4 year old grandson to the Springs. On the way up the short trail we encountered some young people coming down the trail They were completely naked. I did not see any sign that said clothes optional. Of course there was no security... If you google Umqua Hot Springs, it will take you directly to the entrance. Don't depend on signs since some turns were missing them. The mile drive to the parking had too many potholes for our sedan to handle, but we made it. The restroom in the parking lot is an out house so don't depend on changing in there.... More

If you find yourself in this area, the hot springs are wonderful. They are not right off the main road and the signs are difficult to follow, but the dirt roads are in good shape and it is worth it. Be aware that they are closed from sunset to sunrise and I was told they enforce it. There is a... More

The umpqua hot springs are an awesome experience. There are 5+ pools to soak with all different temperatures. The "hike" up is more like a .25 uphill walk. Easy!! Lots of weed and nudity but that's what makes it an experience. $5 dollars to park and the directions are a little tricky. Look for mile post 59 from rose burg... More

I arrived and was pleased to here that the enforcement of over night parking and such had been slacked off on for the moment anyway. Though this might have lead to the experience I had as after only a short time of being at the springs I went to retrieve something from Bag and what I do I find but... More

after a long but gorgeous drive to the hotsprings, and an intermediate but short hike that my mother (who has knee problems) and myself (a 22 year old with a lot more enthusiasm about out door activities) - we made it to the hot springs knowing full well we'd see nudity. though our small town conservative upbringing soon made our... Hiked from Tokatee lake campground to the hot springs (as well as the waterfalls a little further up the trail). I think since they stopped overnight camping here, the place has cleaned up quite a bit. The pools and area around were clean and inviting. Everyone there was very friendly (aside from the loner stoner dude). I'm sure there will... More

The pools were nice and hot with varying temps as you moved away from the source. The views from the pool are awesome as well. We didn't see any garbage but did see a lot of naked hippies and some weed being smoked but what do you expect when you hike to some hot springs in the middle of nowhere.... More

Several pools of various heat, ranging from 100 - 110 degrees. Beautiful scenery moderately visited by hikers. A .3 mile hike, steep incline with long handrail. As with some hot springs, some nudity.
