Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the excitement, history, food, architecture, neighborhoods, bridges, parks, fountains, artwork, and just plain weird places in Portland Oregon. Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between; "Roses Gone Wild!", which dishes the dirt on Portland's famous International Rose Test Gardens; and "Flavor Street," where you taste the best of Portland's incredible food cart scene - and skip the rest.

The tour started at a former Hotel built at the turn of the last century. The tour guide Todd was very knowledgeable and was interesting to listen to as he guided the group around the old buildings and talked about the notable people and their various criminal activities, the riverside park dedicated to the Japanese who suffered through the WW... My family had a great walking tour of downtown Portland. We were led by an engaging and energetic guide. We discovered so much history and had many questions answered. Our guide was an actor so our tour skewed a touch toward the theater offerings of the city, which was just fine.

The PDX tour with David was mostly about DT architecture with limited pre-modern history. The underground tour was disappointing. You just go in a basement in the tour center at the end. But you learn a lot about crimping. A look online would cover it. So, I thought the tour was too long for the info given. Both tours should... More

We started the year out with a Bizarre Portland tour. We learned many fun, quirky things about Portland and visited haunted hotels, parking lots, and basements. Our guide was hilarious and a great story teller. She was full of energy and profanities. She startles easily and scared herself a few times. It was a fun way to learn a little... More

This tour is amazing! An absolute must do in Portland! Jake, the tour guide, teaches you all about the sordid history of Portland. Crime, Seamstresses, Abductions... and at the end you get to see the Shanghai Tunnels or what is left of them ;)

We loved the Portland walking tour - the guide took us around the downtown area talking about history of the city, info on the various buildings and architecture styles, and the various events in history. Tour is about 2 hours and covers about 2 - 3 miles on foot around the downtown area. Highly recommend as a first tour to... More

On our first day of a weekend visit to Portland, we're glad to have taken the Portland Walking tour. Richard, our guide, offered a very enthusiastic exploration of the downtown area. With a good mix of the City's History & an array of sightseeing suggestions, we were left with a greater sense of Rose City.

Liz was a terrific guide on this walking tour. A transplant to the city herself, she's obviously very proud of her new hometown and presented a ton of information to our small group on a (typically) cloudy fall day. Well worth the time & money.

The family and I did the Portland Underground tour with Jake (Mr. Infastructure / super guide). He was a very informative and entertaining tour guide! We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it if you're a history buff ! We want to do the Haunted Tour next time we're in town ! Thanks Jake !!!
