Great park really gigantic for the center of a neighborhood, but the parking makes it just that a neighborhood park. The real con is one of the streets is a tent village filled with all manner of homeless. Now I am from Chi-Town and have been around homeless people from my childhood. But this is a swanky neighborhood, and a... More

This little gem is tucked in a corner of Cesar Chavez and SE Stark, SE Oak. Once you get by the homeless encampment on Oak, the park is serene and peaaceful. Beautiful, huge trees (labeled for us non-tree people). Wide, winding paths, so even if there are a lot of people in , never felt crowded. The neighbors love it... More

Enjoyed playing in the children's area of this beautiful park with my two grandchildren. Many families, walkers, were there as well. A welcome spot for a family mini outing.

We enjoyed a quiet stroll through Laurelhurst Park this morning before meeting my cousin for breakfast. This was our first time in this park. It had wide paths throughout the park a small pond and two off leash areas for dogs. It is nestled in a nice neighborhood. The only downside was the homeless population camping out on the sidewalks... More

I used to love coming here as a kid. I brought my own kids here from WI last week, & was SO disappointed with the amount of trash laying around the park, not to mention a hypodermic needle we saw laying next to the pond. Disgusted!

A good hiking place, but if you want sightseeing it is definitely not early March. Was in a lonely company of dog walkers and hikers. Could have been nice in autumn.

Walking along streets looking at restaurants and shops makes my legs hurt from the slow pace and stops at every corner. Historic Laurelhurst Park has paths over rolling hills (ideal for picnics or spreading a blanket for a nap), a pond to feed the ducks, and huge trees. You can walk on paved or unpaved trails. A runners delight.

Gorgeous during all times of the year, nice to see it during different seasons. Summer though is just the best, so nice to sit by the lake and read a book.

This is a truly lovely park. There is a large pond with ducks geese turtles and other wildlife. Wide smooth paths perfect for walking and many places perfect for pictures! There are tables here and there- great for picnics and parties for kids and a community building that offers all kinds of classes through the Park system. There is an... More
